Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Mining, S&P Lima Juniors and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which rose 4.74% or 0.450 points to trade at 9.950 at the close. Meanwhile, Relapasa (LM:REL) added 4.24% or 0.010 points to end at 0.246 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was up 3.28% or 0.040 points to 1.260 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sider (LM:SID), which fell 2.18% or 0.007 points to trade at 0.314 at the close. Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) declined 1.67% or 0.010 points to end at 0.590 and Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) was down 0.89% or 0.040 points to 4.450.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 18 to 9 and 6 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 2.98% or 1.33 to $45.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.11% or 0.05 to hit $47.35 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.11% or 14.00 to trade at $1278.80 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3295, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7999.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.45% at 93.80.
