Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Non-Metal Minerals and Mining sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.26%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 2.86% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.720 at the close. Meanwhile, Atacocha (LM:ATB) added 1.88% or 0.006 points to end at 0.325 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 1.75% or 0.010 points to 0.580 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Edegel (LM:EDE), which fell 2.22% or 0.070 points to trade at 3.080 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) declined 1.90% or 0.005 points to end at 0.258 and Alicorp (LM:ALI) was down 1.29% or 0.100 points to 7.650.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 12 to 10 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.32% or 0.58 to $44.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $46.12 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.03% or 0.45 to trade at $1318.25 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3870, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7884.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.19% at 95.97.
