Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining, Services and Electricity sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which rose 4.10% or 0.430 points to trade at 10.930 at the close. Meanwhile, Relapasa (LM:REL) added 3.26% or 0.007 points to end at 0.222 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 2.17% or 0.010 points to 0.470 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which fell 2.62% or 0.130 points to trade at 4.830 at the close. Atacocha (LM:ATB) declined 2.50% or 0.010 points to end at 0.390 and Unacem (LM:CEL) was down 1.98% or 0.050 points to 2.480.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 8 to 8 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.53% or 0.81 to $53.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 1.56% or 0.87 to hit $56.77 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.56% or 6.35 to trade at $1139.95 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.02% to 3.3810, while EUR/PEN rose 0.09% to 3.5356.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 103.02.
