Investing.com – Peru stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 6.76% or 0.023 points to trade at 0.363 at the close. Meanwhile, Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 3.29% or 0.140 points to end at 4.390 and Aceros Arequip (LM:AREi) was up 1.67% or 0.010 points to 0.610 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sider (LM:SID), which fell 2.82% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.310 at the close. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) declined 1.70% or 0.010 points to end at 0.580 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) was down 1.19% or 0.050 points to 4.150.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 11 to 9 and 7 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.33% or 0.16 to $48.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $49.67 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.21% or 2.50 to trade at $1215.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.3670, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7678.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.43% at 95.42.
