Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.73%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were IMCD NV (AS:IMCD), which rose 2.24% or 1.35 points to trade at 61.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) added 2.15% or 3.200 points to end at 152.000 and Relx PLC (AS:REL) was up 2.08% or 0.440 points to 21.570 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Takeaway Com Holding BV (AS:TKWY), which fell 1.94% or 1.6500 points to trade at 83.5000 at the close. Aalberts Industries NV (AS:AALB) declined 0.83% or 0.28 points to end at 33.37 and Koninklijke Vopak NV (AS:VOPA) was down 0.56% or 0.24 points to 42.87.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 87 to 35 and 14 ended unchanged.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was down 4.02% to 17.64.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.81% or 0.97 to $54.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.00% or 0.58 to hit $58.70 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.97% or 14.85 to trade at $1552.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.04% to 1.1095, while EUR/GBP fell 0.66% to 0.9023.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.09% at 97.898.
