Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX rose 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Altice NV (AS:ATCA), which rose 1.80% or 0.14 points to trade at 7.94 at the close. Meanwhile, Randstad Holding NV (AS:RAND) added 1.48% or 0.78 points to end at 53.38 and Koninklijke KPN NV (AS:KPN) was up 1.22% or 0.031 points to 2.577 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Philips Lighting NV (AS:LIGHT), which fell 1.75% or 0.45 points to trade at 25.24 at the close. ASML Holding NV (AS:ASML) declined 1.10% or 1.75 points to end at 157.50 and Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG) was down 1.03% or 0.780 points to 74.820.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Philips Lighting NV (AS:LIGHT) fell to 52-week lows; falling 1.75% or 0.45 to 25.24.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was up 1.27% to 12.05.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.28% or 0.88 to $67.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.51% or 1.13 to hit $73.56 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.90% or 11.90 to trade at $1307.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.53% to 1.2007, while EUR/GBP rose 0.47% to 0.8813.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.60% at 92.18.
