Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 1.03%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Atlantia (MI:ATL), which rose 2.27% or 0.52 points to trade at 23.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Exor NV (MI:EXOR) added 1.28% or 0.65 points to end at 51.60 and Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) was up 1.20% or 0.27 points to 22.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which fell 5.51% or 0.84 points to trade at 14.40 at the close. UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) declined 3.86% or 0.6000 points to end at 14.9500 and Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) was down 2.85% or 0.078 points to 2.658.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 187 to 158 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Exor NV (MI:EXOR) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.28% or 0.65 to 51.60. Shares in Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) rose to all time highs; rising 1.20% or 0.27 to 22.75.
Crude oil for June delivery was down 1.81% or 0.90 to $48.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 1.79% or 0.94 to hit $51.47 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.21% or 2.61 to trade at $1266.81 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.28% to 1.0873, while EUR/GBP fell 0.75% to 0.8425.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 99.03.
