Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Prysmian (MI:PRY), which rose 3.76% or 0.93 points to trade at 25.68 at the close. Meanwhile, Recordati (MI:RECI) added 3.55% or 1.30 points to end at 37.90 and Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) was up 1.84% or 1.45 points to 80.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ENI (MI:ENI), which fell 1.47% or 0.21 points to trade at 14.05 at the close. Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI) declined 1.34% or 0.050 points to end at 3.684 and Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) was down 1.26% or 0.32 points to 25.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 213 to 128 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Recordati (MI:RECI) rose to all time highs; up 3.55% or 1.30 to 37.90. Shares in Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) rose to all time highs; rising 1.84% or 1.45 to 80.25.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.99% or 0.48 to $47.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.87% or 0.44 to hit $50.19 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.73% or 9.20 to trade at $1276.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.49% to 1.1268, while EUR/GBP rose 0.52% to 0.8749.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 96.72.
