Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 fell 0.64%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Leonardo SpA (MI:LDOF), which rose 1.52% or 0.138 points to trade at 9.198 at the close. Meanwhile, Mediobanca (MI:MDBI) added 1.36% or 0.110 points to end at 8.178 and Prysmian (MI:PRY) was up 1.06% or 0.23 points to 21.93 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ferrari NV (MI:RACE), which fell 4.88% or 5.85 points to trade at 113.95 at the close. Enel (MI:ENEI) declined 3.65% or 0.179 points to end at 4.727 and Exor NV (MI:EXOR) was down 3.25% or 1.84 points to 54.76.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 240 to 118 and 25 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.59% or 0.40 to $67.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.26% or 0.19 to hit $72.88 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.69% or 8.50 to trade at $1222.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.22% to 1.1695, while EUR/GBP rose 0.01% to 0.8927.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 94.41.
