Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Technology and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 gained 1.53%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (MI:BMPS), which rose 5.74% or 0.0380 points to trade at 0.7000 at the close. Meanwhile, Unicredit (MI:CRDI) added 4.99% or 0.1660 points to end at 3.4920 and UBI Banca (MI:UBI) was up 4.33% or 0.1560 points to 3.7620 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA), which fell 2.63% or 0.1900 points to trade at 7.0350 at the close. Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) declined 0.66% or 0.17 points to end at 25.74 and Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) was down 0.21% or 0.03 points to 14.35.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 223 to 162 and 30 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.24% or 1.38 to $44.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 3.02% or 1.34 to hit $45.66 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.23% or 2.85 to trade at $1243.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.1307, while EUR/GBP fell 0.48% to 0.7743.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.33% at 94.43.
