Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financials, Travel & Leisure and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.58%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which rose 4.87% or 0.122 points to trade at 2.628 at the close. Meanwhile, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) added 4.14% or 0.430 points to end at 10.810 and Unipol Gruppo Finanziario Spa (MI:UNPI) was up 3.57% or 0.124 points to 3.600 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Saipem (MI:SPMI), which fell 2.76% or 0.0132 points to trade at 0.4657 at the close. Telecom Italia (MI:TLIT) declined 1.30% or 0.0105 points to end at 0.7975 and Mediaset (MI:MS) was down 0.81% or 0.032 points to 3.900.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 190 to 146 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (MI:FCHA) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 4.14% or 0.430 to 10.810.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.38% or 0.20 to $53.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.56% or 0.31 to hit $55.90 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.25 to trade at $1226.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.0575, while EUR/GBP rose 0.28% to 0.8484.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 101.27.
