Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 rose 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Tenaris (MI:TENR), which rose 2.74% or 0.45 points to trade at 16.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) added 2.61% or 0.64 points to end at 25.20 and Campari (MI:CPRI) was up 2.31% or 0.21 points to 9.53 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Buzzi Unicem (MI:BZU), which fell 3.01% or 0.71 points to trade at 22.90 at the close. Luxottica Group (MI:LUX) declined 0.94% or 0.50 points to end at 52.70 and Generali (MI:GASI) was down 0.81% or 0.11 points to 13.55.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 170 to 165 and 24 ended unchanged.
Shares in Salvatore Ferragamo (MI:SFER) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.61% or 0.64 to 25.20.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.86% or 0.45 to $52.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.74% or 0.41 to hit $55.06 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.01% or 0.15 to trade at $1212.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.31% to 1.0679, while EUR/GBP rose 0.53% to 0.8675.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.48% at 100.74.
