Investing.com – Italy stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Travel & Leisure sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI), which rose 2.70% or 0.062 points to trade at 2.356 at the close. Meanwhile, Saipem (MI:SPMI) added 2.33% or 0.0098 points to end at 0.4311 and UniCredit SpA (MI:CRDI) was up 1.52% or 0.1900 points to 12.6500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Exor NV (MI:EXOR), which fell 2.14% or 0.98 points to trade at 44.73 at the close. Campari (MI:CPRI) declined 2.10% or 0.20 points to end at 9.55 and Yoox Net-A-Porter Group SpA (MI:YNAP) was down 1.71% or 0.39 points to 22.48.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 191 to 152 and 15 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 1.30% or 0.70 to $53.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.10% or 0.62 to hit $55.80 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.25 to trade at $1258.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.0623, while EUR/GBP rose 0.46% to 0.8548.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 100.86.
