Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Biomed, Technology and Communication sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.80% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Melisron (TA:MLSR), which rose 2.21% or 330 points to trade at 15270 at the close. Meanwhile, Poalim (TA:POLI) added 0.90% or 17 points to end at 1910 and Leumi (TA:LUMI) was up 0.88% or 13 points to 1485 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kenon Holdings Ltd (TA:KEN), which fell 4.08% or 342.00 points to trade at 8036.00 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) declined 2.58% or 144 points to end at 5429 and Frutarom (TA:FRUT) was down 2.42% or 400 points to 16150.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 182 to 131 and 144 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.39% or 2.00 to $60.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 2.73% or 1.81 to hit $68.27 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.76% or 9.00 to trade at $1195.80 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.31% to 3.8724, while EUR/ILS rose 0.05% to 4.3321.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.38% at 95.22.
