Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Communication, Biomed and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Discount (TA:DSCT), which rose 1.97% or 13.8 points to trade at 715.2 at the close. Meanwhile, OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 1.37% or 93 points to end at 6862 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) was up 1.14% or 3.6 points to 319.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which fell 1.91% or 300 points to trade at 15400 at the close. Gazit Globe (TA:GZT) declined 1.05% or 53 points to end at 4978 and Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) was down 1.04% or 7.0 points to 665.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 173 to 165 and 116 ended unchanged.
Shares in Discount (TA:DSCT) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.97% or 13.8 to 715.2. Shares in OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) rose to all time highs; up 1.37% or 93 to 6862.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.03% or 0.60 to $58.59 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 1.35% or 0.86 to hit $64.89 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.29% or 3.50 to trade at $1210.20 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.00% to 3.8722, while EUR/ILS fell 0.38% to 4.2996.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 95.60.
