Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Biomed and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 added 0.76%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE), which rose 3.82% or 90.00 points to trade at 2,443.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ashtrom Group Ltd (TASE:ASHG) added 3.61% or 188.00 points to end at 5,400.00 and Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) was up 2.84% or 242.00 points to 8,765.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Airport City Ltd (TASE:ARPT), which fell 3.05% or 160.00 points to trade at 5,090.00 at the close. Melisron (TASE:MLSR) declined 1.77% or 430.00 points to end at 23,810.00 and Phoenix Holdings Ltd (TASE:PHOE1) was down 1.68% or 66.00 points to 3,851.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 260 to 204 and 27 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.81% or 2.04 to $70.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.53% or 1.95 to hit $75.00 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 1.26% or 24.65 to trade at $1,983.05 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was unchanged 0.01% to 3.65, while EUR/ILS rose 0.57% to 3.94.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.75% at 103.28.
