Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Household and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 1.05%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Iaso (AT:IASr), which rose 16.18% or 0.089 points to trade at 0.639 at the close. Meanwhile, Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) added 8.43% or 0.0210 points to end at 0.2700 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was up 7.69% or 0.010 points to 0.136 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Autohellas (AT:AUTr), which fell 9.12% or 1.09 points to trade at 10.86 at the close. Reds (AT:CAMr) declined 5.26% or 0.020 points to end at 0.360 and Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) was down 4.37% or 0.043 points to 0.941.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 58 to 36 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) rose to 3-years highs; up 8.43% or 0.0210 to 0.2700.
Gold for August delivery was up 0.51% or 6.35 to $1249.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 2.14% or 1.04 to hit $49.66 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.85% or 0.92 to trade at $50.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.1369, while EUR/GBP rose 0.37% to 0.7858.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 93.93.
