Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite lost 1.03%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Creta Plastics (AT:PLAKR), which rose 5.71% or 0.20 points to trade at 3.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Lamda Develop (AT:LMDr) added 4.39% or 0.18 points to end at 4.28 and Public Power (AT:DEHr) was up 3.03% or 0.09 points to 3.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which fell 9.90% or 0.05 points to trade at 0.46 at the close. National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) declined 6.06% or 0.02 points to end at 0.31 and Centric Hold (AT:DESr) was down 5.51% or 0.007 points to 0.120.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 58 to 38 and 9 ended unchanged.
Gold for June delivery was down 1.35% or 16.85 to $1234.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.23% or 0.59 to hit $48.67 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.99% or 0.48 to trade at $48.83 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.59% to 1.1155, while EUR/GBP fell 1.50% to 0.7631.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.30% at 95.52.
