Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking, Technology and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 4.03% or 0.0060 points to trade at 0.1550 at the close. Meanwhile, Gek Terna (AT:HRMr) added 3.05% or 0.080 points to end at 2.700 and Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) was up 2.99% or 0.55 points to 18.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which fell 7.26% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.120 at the close. Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) declined 5.76% or 0.019 points to end at 0.334 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) was down 4.14% or 0.075 points to 1.735.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 38 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Gek Terna (AT:HRMr) rose to 52-week highs; up 3.05% or 0.080 to 2.700.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.74% or 9.45 to $1287.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.09% or 0.05 to hit $53.06 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.23% or 0.13 to trade at $55.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.0631, while EUR/GBP fell 0.22% to 0.8488.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 100.34.
