Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Banking, Travel and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr), which rose 5.77% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.163 at the close. Meanwhile, Public Power (AT:DEHr) added 3.06% or 0.09 points to end at 3.03 and Folli Follie (AT:HDFr) was up 2.78% or 0.59 points to 21.84 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which fell 3.12% or 0.004 points to trade at 0.124 at the close. Gek Terna (AT:HRMr) declined 2.37% or 0.050 points to end at 2.060 and Fourlis Hld (AT:FRLr) was down 2.11% or 0.080 points to 3.710.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 34 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.48% or 6.05 to $1261.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.04% or 0.53 to hit $50.32 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.91% or 0.47 to trade at $51.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.02% to 1.0884, while EUR/GBP rose 0.34% to 0.8915.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.09% at 98.71.
