Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Banking and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite declined 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr), which rose 4.90% or 0.0500 points to trade at 1.0700 at the close. Meanwhile, Mytilineos Holdings SA (AT:MYTr) added 2.96% or 0.220 points to end at 7.660 and Grivalia Properties REIC (AT:GRIr) was up 2.70% or 0.24 points to 9.14 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Attica Bank SA (AT:BOAr), which fell 8.74% or 0.009 points to trade at 0.094 at the close. Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) declined 7.33% or 0.014 points to end at 0.177 and Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) was down 6.10% or 0.026 points to 0.400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 52 to 46 and 27 ended unchanged.
Shares in Iktinos Hellas (AT:IKTr) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.90% or 0.0500 to 1.0700.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.46% or 5.77 to $1262.33 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.88% or 0.44 to hit $49.36 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 1.18% or 0.62 to trade at $52.02 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.13% to 1.1180, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.8689.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 97.27.
