Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Food, Financials and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 2.14%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Lykos Inform. (AT:LYKr), which rose 15.35% or 0.07 points to trade at 0.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) added 9.92% or 0.065 points to end at 0.720 and Iaso (AT:IASr) was up 9.57% or 0.049 points to 0.561 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dromeas (AT:DROr), which fell 8.46% or 0.011 points to trade at 0.119 at the close. Elval (AT:VAL) declined 6.80% or 0.10 points to end at 1.37 and Intrakat (AT:INCr) was down 5.72% or 0.032 points to 0.527.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 62 to 31 and 4 ended unchanged.
Shares in Iaso (AT:IASr) rose to 52-week lows; rising 9.57% or 0.049 to 0.561.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.39% or 4.30 to $1108.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 4.11% or 1.85 to hit $43.11 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 3.28% or 1.68 to trade at $49.34 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.38% to 1.1060, while EUR/GBP rose 0.47% to 0.7101.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.10% at 97.13.
