Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Food, Household and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 1.70%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which rose 6.86% or 0.024 points to trade at 0.374 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) added 6.19% or 0.035 points to end at 0.600 and National Bank of Greece (AT:NBGr) was up 4.55% or 0.01 points to 0.23 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which fell 7.74% or 0.0120 points to trade at 0.1460 at the close. Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) declined 3.47% or 0.018 points to end at 0.491 and Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) was down 2.86% or 0.010 points to 0.340.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 63 to 31 and 30 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.23% or 2.85 to $1238.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.49% or 0.26 to hit $53.10 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 0.31% or 0.17 to trade at $55.48 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.48% to 1.0623, while EUR/GBP rose 0.01% to 0.8548.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 100.82.
