Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Banking and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite rose 1.69%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr), which rose 20.87% or 0.024 points to trade at 0.139 at the close. Meanwhile, Halcor (AT:XAKO) added 10.36% or 0.023 points to end at 0.245 and Hygeia (AT:HYGr) was up 6.92% or 0.009 points to 0.139 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Reds (AT:CAMr), which fell 6.12% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.307 at the close. ThesKi Port (AT:OLTr) declined 5.10% or 1.07 points to end at 19.92 and Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr) was down 3.00% or 0.021 points to 0.678.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 60 to 25 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold for June delivery was up 0.44% or 5.50 to $1243.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 6.68% or 2.49 to hit $39.75 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 6.19% or 2.44 to trade at $41.87 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.1401, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.8075.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.32% at 94.20.
