Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite gained 1.61% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which rose 9.78% or 0.0180 points to trade at 0.2020 at the close. Meanwhile, Korres (AT:KRRr) added 8.11% or 0.300 points to end at 4.000 and Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) was up 8.04% or 0.051 points to 0.685 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr), which fell 3.90% or 0.013 points to trade at 0.320 at the close. Coca Cola HBC AG (AT:EEEr) declined 0.48% or 0.1250 points to end at 25.8750 and Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr) was down 0.37% or 0.010 points to 2.700.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 84 to 23 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Korres (AT:KRRr) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 8.11% or 0.300 to 4.000. Shares in Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) rose to 52-week highs; up 8.04% or 0.051 to 0.685.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.47% or 5.74 to $1221.84 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.86% or 1.31 to hit $47.19 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 2.57% or 1.25 to trade at $49.98 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.01% to 1.0873, while EUR/GBP fell 0.08% to 0.8400.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 99.45.
