Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Household sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite rose 1.46% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which rose 9.47% or 0.016 points to trade at 0.185 at the close. Meanwhile, AS Company SA (AT:ASCr) added 7.66% or 0.070 points to end at 0.984 and Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) was up 7.51% or 0.2900 points to 4.1500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Thrace Plastic (AT:THRr), which fell 3.70% or 0.100 points to trade at 2.600 at the close. Revoil Petrol (AT:REVr) declined 1.75% or 0.006 points to end at 0.337 and Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT:MORr) was down 1.73% or 0.29 points to 16.51.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 67 to 29 and 23 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.14% or 14.35 to $1267.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.44% or 0.23 to hit $51.93 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 0.16% or 0.09 to trade at $54.98 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.23% to 1.0619, while EUR/GBP rose 0.27% to 0.8561.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 100.81.
