Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Chemicals and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 1.32%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Centric Hold (AT:DESr), which rose 7.00% or 0.007 points to trade at 0.107 at the close. Meanwhile, Korres (AT:KRRr) added 4.43% or 0.140 points to end at 3.300 and Papoutsanis (AT:PSALr) was up 3.66% or 0.006 points to 0.170 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which fell 9.72% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.130 at the close. Reds (AT:CAMr) declined 8.24% or 0.028 points to end at 0.312 and Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr) was down 5.34% or 0.0110 points to 0.1950.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 57 to 38 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.73% or 9.25 to $1264.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.28% or 0.58 to hit $44.69 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.01% or 0.47 to trade at $45.89 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.29% to 1.0878, while EUR/GBP fell 1.09% to 0.8698.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.27% at 98.93.
