Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Travel and Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Techn Olympic (AT:OLYr), which rose 9.96% or 0.089 points to trade at 0.983 at the close. Meanwhile, Gek Terna (AT:HRMr) added 8.55% or 0.13 points to end at 1.65 and ThesKi Water (AT:TWSr) was up 8.15% or 0.22 points to 2.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr), which fell 13.61% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.127 at the close. Eurobank Ergasias SA (AT:EURBr) declined 12.12% or 0.008 points to end at 0.058 and Alpha Bank (AT:ACBr) was down 7.69% or 0.010 points to 0.120.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 59 to 27 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Bank Of Piraeus (AT:BOPr) fell to all time lows; falling 13.61% or 0.020 to 0.127.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.47% or 5.20 to $1117.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.53% or 0.23 to hit $42.88 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.09% or 0.04 to trade at $49.15 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.1063, while EUR/GBP fell 0.13% to 0.7098.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.33% at 96.92.
