Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Resources, Banking and Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite gained 0.65%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Intracom Hold (AT:INRr), which rose 9.03% or 0.027 points to trade at 0.326 at the close. Meanwhile, Mytilineos Holdings SA (AT:MYTr) added 6.19% or 0.280 points to end at 4.800 and Gek Terna (AT:HRMr) was up 5.67% or 0.110 points to 2.050 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Selonda Aquaculture SA (AT:SELr), which fell 5.06% or 0.0080 points to trade at 0.1500 at the close. Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) declined 3.85% or 0.200 points to end at 5.000 and Halcor (AT:XAKO) was down 3.23% or 0.012 points to 0.360.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 59 to 34 and 18 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.25% or 3.15 to $1256.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.20% or 0.10 to hit $50.34 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.19% or 0.10 to trade at $52.41 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.20% to 1.1171, while EUR/GBP rose 1.55% to 0.8975.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.01% at 96.67.
