Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Basic Resources and Retail sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite gained 0.43% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Grivalia Properties REIC (AT:GRIr), which rose 5.18% or 0.47 points to trade at 9.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Gek Terna (AT:HRMr) added 3.70% or 0.110 points to end at 3.080 and AS Company SA (AT:ASCr) was up 3.42% or 0.040 points to 1.210 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which fell 8.22% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.201 at the close. Intralot (AT:INLr) declined 5.65% or 0.070 points to end at 1.170 and Intracom Hold (AT:INRr) was down 2.97% or 0.013 points to 0.424.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 55 to 37 and 27 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.04% or 0.44 to $1229.04 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.02% or 0.92 to hit $46.44 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 2.03% or 0.98 to trade at $49.36 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.01% to 1.0983, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.8478.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 98.58.
