Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Media, Construction and Food sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite added 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Intracom Hold (AT:INRr), which rose 8.36% or 0.028 points to trade at 0.363 at the close. Meanwhile, Sarantiseg (AT:SRSr) added 5.66% or 0.60 points to end at 11.20 and Athens Medical (AT:AMCr) was up 3.76% or 0.029 points to 0.800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AS Company SA (AT:ASCr), which fell 5.67% or 0.045 points to trade at 0.748 at the close. Select Textile (AT:EPIr) declined 3.80% or 0.006 points to end at 0.172 and Marfin Invest (AT:MRFr) was down 2.63% or 0.004 points to 0.148.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 58 to 43 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sarantiseg (AT:SRSr) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 5.66% or 0.60 to 11.20.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.48% or 5.95 to $1243.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.37% or 0.18 to hit $47.86 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.02% or 0.01 to trade at $50.65 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.12% to 1.0783, while EUR/GBP fell 0.39% to 0.8614.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 99.59.
