Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Household and Food sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite rose 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Halcor (AT:XAKO), which rose 6.43% or 0.018 points to trade at 0.298 at the close. Meanwhile, Kri-Kri Milk (AT:KRIr) added 5.45% or 0.090 points to end at 1.740 and Jumbo SA (AT:BABr) was up 3.77% or 0.400 points to 11.010 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Select Textile (AT:EPIr), which fell 10.00% or 0.014 points to trade at 0.126 at the close. Flexopack SA (AT:FLXr) declined 9.70% or 0.2600 points to end at 2.4200 and Quest Holdings (AT:IQTr) was down 9.04% or 0.470 points to 4.730.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 47 to 44 and 14 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.27% or 3.65 to $1342.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.55% or 1.25 to hit $47.86 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 2.46% or 1.25 to trade at $49.63 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1322, while EUR/GBP fell 0.50% to 0.8618.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 94.51.
