Investing.com – Greece stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Basic Resources sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Athens, the Athens General-Composite gained 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the Athens General-Composite were Elliniki Technodomiki Anemos SA (AT:ANEMr), which rose 7.69% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.120 at the close. Meanwhile, Viohalco SA (AT:VIOH) added 6.76% or 0.100 points to end at 1.580 and Iaso (AT:IASr) was up 4.92% or 0.021 points to 0.448 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were FHL I Kiriakidis Marbles and Granites SA (AT:KRKr), which fell 5.35% or 0.190 points to trade at 3.360 at the close. Profile Syst (AT:PRFr) declined 3.68% or 0.018 points to end at 0.471 and Alpha Bank SA (AT:ACBr) was down 2.57% or 0.045 points to 1.705.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 53 to 32 and 23 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elliniki Technodomiki Anemos SA (AT:ANEMr) rose to 52-week highs; up 7.69% or 0.080 to 1.120.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.28% or 3.40 to $1235.50 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.60% or 0.85 to hit $52.16 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.35% or 0.75 to trade at $54.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.61% to 1.0682, while EUR/GBP fell 0.30% to 0.8594.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.58% at 100.42.
