Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Goods and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 3.57% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V), which fell 0.72% or 0.14 points to trade at 19.31 at the close. Meanwhile, Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) fell 1.19% or 0.43 points to end at 35.69 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was down 1.48% or 0.0340 points to 2.2660 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which fell 6.40% or 2.17 points to trade at 31.73 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 5.98% or 1.75 points to end at 27.51 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was down 5.49% or 1.52 points to 26.18.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 166 to 17 and 8 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 1.41% or 0.48 to $33.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.12% or 0.66 to hit $30.23 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 3.05% or 35.30 to trade at $1193.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.1163, while EUR/GBP rose 0.68% to 0.7742.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 96.89.
