Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 2.59%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kemira Oyj (HEL:KRA1V), which fell 0.95% or 0.10 points to trade at 10.42 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HEL:TIE1V) fell 1.12% or 0.24 points to end at 21.20 and Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V) was down 1.20% or 0.31 points to 25.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which fell 7.25% or 0.3630 points to trade at 4.6420 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOK1V) declined 4.92% or 0.320 points to end at 6.180 and Cargotec Oyj (HEL:CGCBV) was down 4.16% or 1.50 points to 34.57.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 159 to 17 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 2.32% or 1.47 to $61.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.08% or 1.24 to hit $58.39 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.41% or 4.80 to trade at $1178.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.1184, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.7092.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.30% at 95.31.
