Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 2.51% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HEL:OTE1V), which fell 0.56% or 0.030 points to trade at 5.370 at the close. Meanwhile, Kesko Oyj B (HEL:KESBV) fell 1.50% or 0.49 points to end at 32.15 and TeliaSonera AB (HEL:TLS1V) was down 1.83% or 0.093 points to 4.982 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Valmt (HEL:VALMT), which fell 4.37% or 0.43 points to trade at 9.53 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HEL:KCR1V) declined 4.10% or 1.22 points to end at 28.56 and Kemira Oyj (HEL:KRA1V) was down 3.58% or 0.40 points to 10.78.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 142 to 30 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in TeliaSonera AB (HEL:TLS1V) fell to 52-week lows; down 1.83% or 0.093 to 4.982.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 2.65% or 1.24 to $45.38 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.81% or 1.16 to hit $40.16 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.46% or 5.30 to trade at $1158.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 1.10% to 1.1364, while EUR/GBP rose 1.06% to 0.7240.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.87% at 94.94.
