Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.80%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V), which rose 1.28% or 0.18 points to trade at 14.22 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) fell 0.22% or 0.01 points to end at 6.71 and Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA) was down 0.37% or 0.04 points to 10.89 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 3.73% or 0.1460 points to trade at 3.7660 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 3.53% or 0.140 points to end at 3.822 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was down 3.19% or 0.132 points to 4.006.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 140 to 29 and 19 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 2.46% or 1.28 to $50.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 2.59% or 1.31 to hit $49.25 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.15% or 1.95 to trade at $1274.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.34% to 1.1280, while EUR/GBP rose 0.54% to 0.7872.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 94.43.
