Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.73%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV), which fell 0.61% or 0.22 points to trade at 36.06 at the close. Meanwhile, Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) fell 0.65% or 0.15 points to end at 23.08 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) was down 0.79% or 0.11 points to 13.84 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 3.60% or 0.136 points to trade at 3.638 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) declined 3.20% or 0.21 points to end at 6.36 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was down 2.47% or 0.180 points to 7.100.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 157 to 29 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 1.41% or 0.71 to $49.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.10% or 0.54 to hit $48.34 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.22% or 2.85 to trade at $1284.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.76% to 1.1206, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.7923.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.64% at 95.02.
