Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Financials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.71%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which fell 0.10% or 0.01 points to trade at 5.04 at the close. Meanwhile, Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) fell 0.39% or 0.13 points to end at 32.96 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) was down 0.61% or 0.10 points to 16.37 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which fell 5.18% or 1.11 points to trade at 20.32 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 5.14% or 0.180 points to end at 3.320 and Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) was down 2.75% or 0.57 points to 20.19.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 124 to 50 and 11 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for May delivery was down 0.12% or 0.05 to $40.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.58% or 0.23 to hit $39.56 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.28% or 3.40 to trade at $1220.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.03% to 1.1178, while EUR/GBP fell 0.44% to 0.7887.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.05% at 96.11.
