Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.51%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 1.88% or 0.20 points to trade at 10.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 0.50% or 0.025 points to end at 5.075 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) was down 0.62% or 0.23 points to 36.63 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 6.63% or 0.250 points to trade at 3.520 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 6.29% or 0.2340 points to end at 3.4860 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was down 3.21% or 0.20 points to 6.19.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 151 to 28 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) fell to 52-week lows; losing 0.62% or 0.23 to 36.63.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 3.17% or 1.55 to $47.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 3.19% or 1.53 to hit $46.48 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.30% or 16.70 to trade at $1305.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.59% to 1.1193, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.7908.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 95.07.
