Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.38%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which rose 4.56% or 1.22 points to trade at 27.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 0.28% or 0.0150 points to end at 5.4600 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 0.05% or 0.02 points to 38.44 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which fell 2.79% or 0.230 points to trade at 8.020 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 2.71% or 0.140 points to end at 5.035 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was down 2.30% or 1.09 points to 46.24.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 114 to 57 and 21 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 1.28% or 0.62 to $48.97 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.36% or 0.62 to hit $46.36 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.35% or 4.75 to trade at $1352.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.78% to 1.1270, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.8662.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.80% at 94.82.
