Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 1.26%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which fell 0.03% or 0.01 points to trade at 38.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) fell 0.42% or 0.16 points to end at 38.28 and Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) was down 0.67% or 0.27 points to 39.87 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 3.75% or 0.2050 points to trade at 5.2550 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 2.37% or 0.97 points to end at 39.92 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was down 2.05% or 0.082 points to 3.922.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 124 to 51 and 14 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 0.39% or 0.19 to $49.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.47% or 0.22 to hit $46.36 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.47% or 6.35 to trade at $1350.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.12% to 1.1265, while EUR/GBP rose 0.20% to 0.8662.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 94.89.
