Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Utilities, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.94%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HEL:HUH1V), which rose 1.78% or 0.50 points to trade at 28.57 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HEL:STERV) added 1.05% or 0.080 points to end at 7.695 and Cargotec Oyj (HEL:CGCBV) was up 1.00% or 0.28 points to 28.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which fell 2.37% or 0.0820 points to trade at 3.3760 at the close. Valmt (HEL:VALMT) declined 2.20% or 0.20 points to end at 8.90 and KONE Oyj (HEL:KNEBV) was down 2.18% or 0.77 points to 34.49.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 109 to 61 and 3 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.17% or 0.07 to $43.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.92% or 0.36 to hit $38.95 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.33% or 15.10 to trade at $1123.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 1.09% to 1.1394, while EUR/GBP rose 0.29% to 0.7363.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.97% at 94.82.
