Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 2.16% or 0.86 points to trade at 40.63 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 1.89% or 0.095 points to end at 5.115 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was up 1.59% or 0.12 points to 7.67 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which fell 1.95% or 0.49 points to trade at 24.67 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 1.43% or 0.058 points to end at 4.002 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was down 1.19% or 0.042 points to 3.500.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 104 to 76 and 15 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 4.67% or 2.42 to $54.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 4.37% or 2.16 to hit $51.60 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.59% or 6.95 to trade at $1166.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.28% to 1.0621, while EUR/GBP fell 0.30% to 0.8442.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.30% at 101.33.
