Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 10.78% or 0.71 points to trade at 7.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 9.11% or 2.35 points to end at 28.14 and Konecranes Abp (HE:KCRA) was up 5.91% or 2.05 points to 36.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 10.82% or 1.0600 points to trade at 8.7350 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) declined 5.60% or 0.670 points to end at 11.290 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was down 4.22% or 1.59 points to 36.09.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 75 to 62 and 17 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for July delivery was down 2.06% or 1.08 to $51.33 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.02% or 1.00 to hit $48.62 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.23% or 2.93 to trade at $1267.13 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.30% to 1.0871, while EUR/GBP fell 0.73% to 0.8427.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 99.04.
