Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 2.05% or 0.160 points to trade at 7.950 at the close. Meanwhile, Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 1.42% or 0.35 points to end at 24.99 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 0.95% or 0.28 points to 29.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which fell 6.26% or 0.33 points to trade at 4.97 at the close. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 5.69% or 0.190 points to end at 3.152 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was down 4.03% or 0.1480 points to 3.5240.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 88 to 85 and 17 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for May delivery was up 2.89% or 1.12 to $39.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 3.88% or 1.41 to hit $37.75 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.07% or 0.90 to trade at $1230.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.32% to 1.1072, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.7857.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.32% at 96.97.
