Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.06%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which rose 0.73% or 0.028 points to trade at 3.880 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) added 0.28% or 0.10 points to end at 35.42 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 0.27% or 0.030 points to 11.070 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which fell 5.23% or 0.610 points to trade at 11.050 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 4.65% or 0.270 points to end at 5.540 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was down 4.05% or 0.93 points to 22.02.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 85 to 49 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 1.29% or 0.67 to $51.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.43% or 1.64 to hit $46.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.09% or 14.09 to trade at $1311.99 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.43% to 1.1976, while EUR/GBP rose 0.08% to 0.9264.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 92.18.
