Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 2.49%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which rose 5.70% or 0.260 points to trade at 4.820 at the close. Meanwhile, Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 5.11% or 1.69 points to end at 34.75 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was up 4.86% or 0.184 points to 3.970 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 0.54% or 0.022 points to trade at 4.022 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 0.04% or 0.01 points to end at 23.51 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 0.18% or 0.02 points to 11.41.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 152 to 29 and 12 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.78% or 0.85 to $48.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.92% or 0.89 to hit $47.22 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.49% or 6.45 to trade at $1318.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.31% to 1.1059, while EUR/GBP fell 0.25% to 0.8314.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 96.32.
