Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 2.09%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 4.07% or 0.2050 points to trade at 5.2450 at the close. Meanwhile, Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) added 3.31% or 0.83 points to end at 25.92 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) was up 3.15% or 0.57 points to 18.65 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which fell 0.85% or 0.34 points to trade at 39.86 at the close. KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) added 0.94% or 0.42 points to end at 45.29 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was up 1.09% or 0.07 points to 6.49.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 124 to 54 and 17 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 2.88% or 1.31 to $46.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 2.85% or 1.23 to hit $44.39 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.54% or 7.05 to trade at $1324.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.36% to 1.1157, while EUR/GBP fell 0.46% to 0.8391.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 95.89.
