Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 1.33%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 3.45% or 0.315 points to trade at 9.435 at the close. Meanwhile, Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 2.56% or 0.67 points to end at 26.85 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) was up 2.35% or 0.60 points to 26.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V), which fell 1.24% or 0.17 points to trade at 13.51 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 0.40% or 0.0120 points to end at 2.9580 and Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V) was down 0.09% or 0.01 points to 11.05.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 113 to 72.
Shares in Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) rose to all time highs; rising 2.56% or 0.67 to 26.85.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 2.66% or 1.28 to $46.82 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.56% or 1.13 to hit $43.08 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.22% or 2.40 to trade at $1086.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.0734, while EUR/GBP fell 0.47% to 0.7061.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 99.12.
